Chairman's Foreword

The past three years have seen some extensive ground work achieved by the WUSV UK Working Party (British Association for German Shepherd Dogs & German Shepherd Dog League of Great Britain) and The Breed Council. Working in conjunction with the WUSV and the Kennel Club we will now see the first British Sieger event take place, we hope that the efforts and dedication to the German Shepherd Dogs will encourage the U.K enthusiasts to adopt a system recognised world wide.

This year parameters are only a stepping stone in achieving the ideal, next year all exhibits must be identified either by tattoo or microchip implant, all dogs over the age of 18 months must be Hip Scored, Adults will need to obtain a BH certificate to be compete in the Open Classes. In order for you to achieve these goals these organisations will assist you meeting the requirements necessary.

We are honoured to have Herr Scheerer from the Huhnegrab Kennels officiating as the main Male Judge; Herr Scheerer was the main Gebrauchs hundeklasse Ruden Judge at this years German Sieger Show.

Herr Reinhardt Meyer from the world famous Bergmannshof Kennel will judge the main female classes, Herr Meyer also officiated at the German Sieger Show judging the Youth Male class.

Herr Hans Karl from the Bikenzwinger Kennels will judge both the young Male and Female classes.

In acknowledgements of passing the approved SV examination we are also delighted to have Brian Wooton and Gloria Rambridge judging the Puppy classes. Percy Elliott will have the honour of selecting the eventual Kennel Group placing.

In order for us to achieve such an event we must have workers and to all those that have given their time I can only thank you, particularly Shelia Rankin and Carol Lister.

There are many who have contributed to this event, the stewards on the day who are unmentioned play a major part, Sheffield University who have given us the facilities at an extra low cost. Sponsors are also very important and Arden Grange have kindly been the main sponsors ,thank you to Graham & Wendy Stephens, supported by Moncaster Wire Products who have also contributed as a major sponsor is much appreciated. There have been many sponsors, not only from the UK but globally, all sponsors will be listed in this catalogue, many thanks to them all.

To the Exhibitors, without you we do not have a show, winning is not everything, but bring part of this historic event, will never be forgotten.
