Chairman’s Forward

The WUSV Working Party (The German Shepherd Dog League of Great Britain & The British Association for German Shepherd Dogs)  and The German Shepherd Dog Breed Council, welcome  you all to the forth British Sieger.

Our Judges today are Günther Müller from the ‘vom Overledingerland’ Kennel who will be judging males and Thomas Teubert of the “vom Gamset” Kennel who will be judging females. We would like to welcome them both to our country and we hope they enjoy their visit and their judging experience at our Event.

Last year I mentioned how we would like to introduce the working classes and have the protection work in order for dogs to be able to achieve the status of VA. This year will see that historic achievement for our breed in the UK. The Progeny Groups will be introduced for the first time too. It is first time the Event will be run over two days which also gives everyone a chance to catch up with friends and fellow exhibitors, adding to the enjoyment.

Of course, there are a few thank yous to be said, firstly to the members of the British Sieger Working Party who work hard all year to bring this event about. A very big thank you must go to Stephen Byfield and the GSD League Working Branches for providing the helpers and assistance for our protection work this weekend. Thank you also to all are volunteers who I can assure you are truly appreciated.

Thank you to our main sponsors Aden Grange and Moncaster  Wire, also not forgetting all the individual sponsors. This is an expensive event to run and each year we try to improve the facilities etc. but this all comes at a cost which could not be met without the support of our sponsors.

Thank you finally to all of you here today, exhibitors and spectators. A special  welcome to our overseas visitors from both Continental Europe and Ireland.
