The WUSV Working Party (British Association for German Shepherd Dogs & The German Shepherd Dog League of Great Britain) in conjunction with the Breed Council welcomes you all to the fifth British Sieger Event.

Our Judges over this weekend’s event are:

Herr Henning Setzer owner of the Fidelius kennel, a member of the SV since 1978. He became an SV conformation Judge in 1991 and a Kormeister in 1996.

Otto Körber-Ahrens owner of the Aus Der Brunnenstraße affix became a member of the SV in 1969, he was elected as a conformation judge in 1996, and in 2001 appointed as a Körmeister.

We wish both judges an enjoyable weekend and look we forward to their evaluations of exhibits and placings of the ultimate titles of Sieger and Siegerine.

Last years event was a milestone for the United Kingdom as we saw the first ever British VA titles being awarded, the title of Sieger and VA1 went to Champion Nikonis Colin Sch H3 with kennel mate Champion Nikonis Yago Sch H2 gaining Vice Sieger and V1. The Siegerine and VA1 went to Shernaa Tikka Sch H3; Vice Siegerine was Baffie v d Falkenau Sch H2 gaining VA2.

The Kennel Groups were also introduced for the first time and the eventual winner was the UK and NZ Champion Phillip a d Neuen Hauffstrasse with an amazing 19 exhibits being evaluated by the judges.

I am sure all exhibitors, spectators and certainly the Working Party thank them for their continued support and hope they also enjoy this weekend.

This year the British Association for German Shepherd Dogs VPG branches will be providing the helpers and assistance for the protection phases under the direction of the VPG Chairman Mr Stuart Nye, a big thank you to Richard Harrison and Marti Wood for their help in these phases.

The British Sieger does just not happen and the following working party members must be thanked for their commitment, time and energies in making this event the success it is:

Please enjoy your day and make the atmosphere one to remember, as a breed we are the world leaders, as breeders we are the most passionate in promoting the ultimate dog.

Thank you to all of you who are supporting this event either as an exhibitor or spectator, a special welcome to our overseas visitors from both continental Europe and Ireland.

Finally the weekend will pass and we will all carry our own memories of this event, drive home carefully and we hope you have enjoyed your weekend.
